Marilaque Breakfast Ride 1-27-08 (Ride Report)

PBRC-Manila Chapter organize a breakfast ride to Marilaque for those new members who haven't gone to Marilaque yet. This was planned right after their ride to Lemery, Batangas.

Most of the rider who joined the ride came from Manila, Ram, Jay, Ross and RJ. Dexter who is from Pasig also joined the ride.

The ride was planned not only to have breakfast in Marilaque but also to raffle the two LED Taillights that was given by Sir Thunder to the group.

The meeting place is on Shell - J. Vargas at 7am. We were able to take off from shell at around 8:30am because of me being late. Hehehehehe (Sorry guys, minsan lang naman e.)

I spearheaded the group until we pass Sta. Lucia and the way where you can go to Antipolo (sorry guys, forgot the name). After that, Ram became the spearhead of the group. All riders with backride are asked to follow the spearhead followed by the single riders.

The way up to Marilaque is smooth and hassle free and the riders enjoyed ever curved and straight of the road until we are almost 3/4 to Mang Vic's Bulalohan were we are meets with drizzle. Since it's just drizzle, we continue our way until we reach Mang Vic's Bulalohan, there we waited for more or less 30minutes before we were able to have our chair.

After taking our breakfast (which I think should be considered as brunch), Archer get a cut out paper were all present in the ride asked to write their names, this is for the raffle of the LEDS LIGHT. I was given the honor to draw the name of the two winners and guess what, RAM was the first one I've drawn and followed by yours truly....heheheheheh (Talking about being lucky).

After resting and taking some pictures, the group prepares to descend from Mang Vic's and call it a day. This time I spearheaded the group again and from time to time being pass by Rj who goes way ahead of the group so that he can take a video of the group ride. (Pre, next time iba naman papakuha natin para kasama ka). As we are nearing Cogeo, the rain pour down and we have to take shelter and wait for the rain to stop, after 15mins of rest the rain stops and we continue our descend.

The group last stop was when we wait for Ram, Ross and Archer who filled their tanks. We then say goodbye to each other and headed home.

A simple but fun breakfast ride of the Group.

Aftermarket pipes for Ninja 250R

Kawasaki's Ninja 250R is set to be one of the stand-out bikes for 2008, and if you're still umming-and-ahhing about getting one, these two new pipes could seal the deal.

Log on to Yoshimura and Two Brothers for a look.

The Yoshimura Dual TRC is available in carbon-fibre, stainless steel or titanium finish.

The second pipe is the Two Brothers M2 slip-on also available in a selection of finishes.

Between, in the recently concluded Auto Expo show in India, Bajaj, an Indian Manufacturer, has announced that it will be selling the Ninja 250R (locally assembled) in the next few months. Good news for this power starved country!
