PBRC First Official Ride, July 15, 2007 (Part V)

from Sir Jet Post in MCP
There was never a dull moment during the entire hours of the eyeball/ride. Certainly, there was a good bonding between members of the group...lots of laughter, lots of teasing, lots photo ops...Riding skills of members were also commendable...especially with the lone lady rider (Joyce). And of course, I would have to mention the dashing Honda Bravos of the members...Archer with the integral modifications on his Bravo, Codeguru with his lowered Bravo on slender tires, to mention a few.

These are the members who joined the Ride:

sir_talipandaz @Wally
eddie gordo @Willy
steven_andrei @Jon-jon
Joyce @Joyce
jet_zoooooms @Jake
sir_black @Ruel
coolworld @Arlan + 1 backride
Archer22 @Vin
Black_Zero_13 @Nayf + 1 backride
mindtwister18 @Ross
codeguru101 @NeD

Congratulations to everyone and more power to the PBRC...
It was an excellent Ride. I hope we could do it again soon. Thank you and nice meeting you all!

PBRC First Official Ride, July 15, 2007 (Part IV)

The group was met by Ellen (owner) of Simply Scrumptious and welcomed the group with superb hospitality and a very scrumptious breakfast-lunch (brunch) buffet. The food was magnificent for a minimal 90 pesos per person.

Immediately after the meal, the group proceed moved on to electing the first PBRC set of Officers and choosing the Official Logo of the Club. With sir_black @Ruel serving as the Comelec and eddie_gordo @Willy serving as the canvasser, the group elected the following Officers:

President : Jet zooms
Vice-Pres : Archer22
Secretary : Joyce
Treasurer : Talipandaz

From there, the group rode all the way to the top of Tagaytay, the People's Park in the sky, to feel the cool breeze of the country winds and to captivate the magnificent view of the Taal Volcano and Tagaytay Highlands before riding back to Manila.

PBRC First Official Ride, July 15, 2007 (Part III)

After meeting at the Rotonda, the group finally decide to go to Simply .... (ooopppsss, forgot the complete name of the place, sorry! :D ), where we take our Brunch.

While the owner is preparing our food, we decide to take some pictures of our parked Bravo outside the restaurant.

PBRC First Official Ride, July 15, 2007 (Part II)

Finally, the rest of the pack met us at Tagaytay Rotonda.

After asking what happened, they told us that they met Codeguru at Robinson Dasma and that's the reason why they were late.

Checking the members, we found out the Mindtwister was not with us anymore. Nobody seems to know where or how he left the pack, we even tried to call and text him but to no prevail.

PBRC First Official Ride, July 15, 2007

Here's now a brief report on what happened yesterday on our first official ride.

As previously posted , the PBRC first official ride pushed through yesterday. North and South members met at McDonald Kabihasnan in Paranaque. Official time of meeting is 7:30am, I was the first to arrive in the place since I still have to fetched my backride (Hehehehe, my "first" lady), after fetching my "first" lady we went straight to McDonald, to my surprise I'm the first one to arrive at the meeting place.

We had our breakfast first while waiting for the others. Next came, Sir Black, followed by Mindtwister, Black_013 and Sir Jet. While waiting, we have some picture taking courtesy of Sir Black.

At around 8:30, North members were able to meet with us. After several minutes of resting we started our ride, we took the Daang Hari route to Tagaytay. Since Sir Bungo wasn't able to come to our ride, it's Sir Jet who spearhead our group and of course, yours truly is the sweeper.

Half way in Daang Hari, half of the group can resist to have their Bravo tested, they shoot like bullets until we are left ( Joyce, Willy, Sir Black and Me ). We thought that they have left us, until we reached SM Molino where we regroup.

Again, Sir Jet, headed the group and we follow him. We were again broken when we reached Pala-pala. It's just me , Joyce and Willy. We continue riding until we met with Sir Black (sorry forgot the name of the road. :D ). Now...Sir Black, spearhead our group. Sir Black led us to Tagaytay, hoping that we met with the first group. But when we reached Tagaytay Rotonda we don't see any other Bravo except us.

So we waited there until Archer22 called my cellphone and asking us where we are. We just informed that we are waiting in Tagatay Rotonda. Their group, still met with sir Codeguru who will serve as our guide when we reached Tagaytay.

Guys please sleep early and come on time

What gears to wear and things to bring:

Each rider should wear appropriate riding gears for the Ride like full-face helmet, long-sleeve jersey or jacket, knee and elbow guards (if you have), gloves, shoes (no slippers/sandals please!), ski mask (if you like), tank bag and saddle bag can be useful.

It's always better to be prepared! So if you want to, you can bring hydrations device like camel back, a bottle of water/juice/energy drink, extra shirt and face towel, cellular phone, camera, extra money, tools, pertinent documents like driver's license and OR/CR of motorcycle and first aid kit (for emergency).

Bring also your logo designs for us all to see it up and choose from.

Things to do before the ride:

Check your motorcycle's condition - Motor oil, spark plug, chain, tyre thickness and inflation, brakes (front and rear), lights (headlight, tail and signal), etc.

Check your own personal condition - Don't go if your sick, not feeling well, under medication and recuperation, intoxicated with alcohol or prohibited drug.

Routes, Stop-overs, Distance and Time of Travel:

Those riders from North area will leave by 7:00am and should be able to meet up with riders from the South area at pre-designated meeting place at McDonald's, Sucat road by 7:30. From there, the group will use the Quirino Avenue through Las Pinas to Zapote then Aguinaldo hiway straight to Tagaytay. Any member can link up with the group along this route (just make sure to inform the group of the place of link up).

There are a lot of Gas station (Shell, Caltex, Petron, etc.) along Aguinaldo hiway from Bacoor to Dasmarinas and they all have similar petrol prices. Premium Unleaded gasoline (93 octane rating) is at 38.25 pesos (about 2 pesos cheaper than in Metro Manila).

Our host, codeguru101, will link up with the group at Shell Gas Station (Salitran) and will lead us to Tagaytay. He will guide us through the beautiful scenic view of Taal, the solemnity of Tagaytay and the outskirt winding roads of Cavite. We should be having our breakfast at Simply Scrumptious(?) and hold our election(?) and votation of our logo(?) at the restaurant. Breakfast buffet being served at Simply Scrumptious is at Php 90.00 per person (exclusive of beverage).

It is estimated that we will cover a travel distance of 150-180 kilometers and will consume about 4-4.5 liters of fuel (to and from Tagaytay). Including stop-overs, picture takings, election(?) and others, we should be back in Metro Manila by lunch time or so.

Ride formation and Safety:

To have a safe travel, Ride formation is SINGLE FILE (single line) led by the Spearhear (Tranko) with Tail end (Sweeper) positioned last (at the back). With Spearhead in front, each Rider follows one another and must not overtake unless on emergency or with the permission by the Spearhead (since he/she has a better view of the road and the incoming traffic). The Tail end must sees to it that each Rider is in line with the group, take notice of abnormality in the riding of every Rider and their motorcycle, attend to Riders on emergency or mechanical trouble and make sure everyone is accounted for.

Hand, light, horn signals are highly encourage during the ride. Likewise, every Bravo Rider must exhibit camaraderie, road courstesy to other vehicles, pedestrians and animals, abide by the traffic rules and regulations and to "beep & wave" at other group of Riders we pass along and those coming our way.

Please be guided accordingly.

My concern on July 15 is how the weather will turn out. Please make your comments and suggestions on what is prescribed above and what if RAIN pours comes July 15. Thanks!

Weather forecast on July 15 over Cavite can be seen on this link: (check it out)
